Welcome to our Australian Literary Club!

The *Australian Literary Club* has been established with the aim to bring new Australian authors to the USA and to promote their work.

I am very proud to launch this new Club with our first promotional book, called *A Fraction of the Whole*, due out in February, a book by a young Australian writer that promises to become a classic.

Very intrigued with the amazing depths of the story, the abundance and richness of words, humor, intelligence and overall philosophy that was a mixture of Sartre and Heidegger, I was sad when I had reached the last page and the story had come to an end.

A book of 530 pages that sincerely is one of the best I have ever read and that shall leave you wondering how Steve got this complex story together, phenomenal in its structure and with all the characters in the book fictional yet so recognizable in many ways.

Cheers,

Introduction - A Fraction of the Whole

An irreverent comic adventure that spans three continents, A FRACTION OF THE WHOLE is the story of a father and son who are against each other and against the world. As Jasper Dean struggles to make sense of his certifiably paranoid father Martin, he discovers the outrageous truth about his own origins, his long-dead infamous uncle, and his mysteriously absent mother. It’s a journey that takes us from the Australian bush to bohemian Paris to the jungles of Thailand, into strip clubs, mental hospitals, labyrinths, warped love triangles and the criminal underworld—challenging our modern notions of identity, religion, celebrity, politics and family along the way. With boundless imagination and razor sharp wit, A FRACTION OF THE WHOLE is an uproariously funny philosophical novel—full of surprise and suspense—about family and the spiritual symmetry that binds them together in a wholly ridiculous world.
