G'Day Cafe Guidelines

G'Day Cafe - Description

G'Day Cafe is the official food court of the Australian Festival, providing the patron with the unique experience and tastes of down under. G’Day Café is set to the theme of our world class cafes that are found in Sydney or Melbourne that serves the very best authentic Australian Food. 

G'Day Cafe - Dates & Times:

Friday, November 2, 2007 -  3:00 pm – 9:00 pm 
Saturday, November 3, 2007 – 10:00 am – 9:00 pm
Sunday, November 4, 2007 – 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

The Australian Festival will be held at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines and is approximately 13 miles from Fort Lauderdale CBD & Fort Lauderdale Beach, South Beach and Hollywood Beaches. Pembroke Pines is located in Broward County, Florida (1,750,000 residents)...

G'Day Cafe - Requirements & Entitlements:

The full fee of $1,000.00 is required with application. The allocation of cafe positioning is based on receipt of application with full payment. No G'Day Cafe will be held without application payment. (Online or via mail). All checks should be made payable to “The Australian Festival, Inc.”. 

** We are accepting 5 (five) G'Day Cafe Vendors for 2007. The vendor must fit into the food court format to be eligible. (Australian related food and drink).

G'Day Cafe - Entitlements:

  • Key sales, promotional and branding opportunities (Cash ONLY Area).

  • Booth includes right to sell any “Australian” food & drink products (non alcohol).

  • Booth design, size up to 30 * 30 at Vendor’s discretion. (approval by Director)

  • Target audience to establish and grow online customer base.

  • Press promotions throughout South Florida, East Cost (US) and Australia.

  • Highly visible G’Day Café profile promotion on Festival Website (and associated sites)

  • Vendor/Exhibitor Parking (Private VIP parking area) with direct access  all weekend.

  • Reserved Vendor camp-site locations available for the weekend - Camp Coolangatta.

  • 15% Discount to Down Under Business Forum & Gum Trees Gala. 

G'Day Cafe Booth Space – Standard - $1,000.00 (Friday Evening, Saturday & Sunday)

  • Booth Size—At discretion of Food Vendor— Limit 30 * 30 space size limit
    (Final design must be submitted by October 1, 2007 for final approval)
  • Two (2) tables with 4 exhibitors chairs (more available upon advance request) 
  • (1) 110 volt 20 amp electrical service per booth. 
  • 24 hour festival security - periodical garbage pickup 

Vendor FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TENT & LOGISTIC SETUP & COSTS
Vendor FULLY RESPONSIBLE TO PASS HEALTH CODES INSPECTION

NO ALCOHOL PRODUCTS

G'Day Cafe - Additional Costs:

  • Ten (10) * Ten(10) Exhibitor Tent ($250.00) - includes full side panels.
  • Additional space (beyond a 10 * 10 space) - quoted per requirement
  • Additional electrical needs - quoted per requirement.

No refunds are provided for rain outs or cancellations at any stage once your application is received and processed. 

G'Day Cafe Supply / Additional Requirements:

Additional electrical requirements must be requested with your application with the general fees attached below. 

Single phase, 110 volt:
20 amps @ $135.00 each
30 amps @ $175.00 each

Single phase 220 volt:
20 amps @ $175 each
60 amps @ $225 each
100 amps @ $250 each

3 phase 220 volt:
20 amps @ $225 each
60 amps @ $250 each
100 amps @ $300 each

An additional $250.00 charge in electrical requirements after October 15, 2007.

Administrative/Legal Requirements - Food & Drink Vendors:

The following items are required, unless otherwise noted, for all Food & Drink Vendors. 

a. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Australian Festival, Inc. , and the Government of Broward County and the staffs, volunteers and boards of these organizations against any claim or action or for any cause (No Exceptions).

b. In addition, I will adhere to all Health and Fire Department regulations related to booth set up and proper food preparation/service. If not, I understand that the Health and/or Fire Department will close the operation of my booth and I will forfeit all fees paid under this agreement (Required)

c. I understand that the Australian Festival, Inc. recommends that I carry general liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 (one million dollars) coverage. This is not required but the Exhibitor will be held liable in the event of liability. Each exhibitor is responsible for the activities and actions within their rental space and should seek liability insurance for this event. Additionally, I understand that if I do provide insurance, I should list the Australian Festival and the Government of Broward County as additionally insured. (Recommended).

d. Set up is Thursday 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. or Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (No vehicles are allowed on the site after setup). All exhibitors MUST BE FULLY SETUP BY FRIDAY 1:00 p.m. - In the event a booth is not setup at this time the booth will be removed - NO EXCEPTIONS!

e. I understand that I can take cash, check or credit card. I must supply all necessary equipment for processing credit card. 

f. I understand that I am responsible for clean up all trash and waste at the completion of each day of the Festival. I understand that I will be fined a minimum of $500 and may not be asked to return in 2007 for not disposing of waste properly in provided dumpsters and grease traps. I agree to return space to the same or better condition than I found it at the completion of the event.

g. I understand that the collecting and reporting of Florida Sales Tax will be sole responsibility of each Exhibitor

h. I understand that I may not sell smoking paraphernalia or other items deemed illegal by the State of Florida.

i. I understand that any violation of this agreement will result in my immediate expulsion from the Festival Grounds.
