Being in Australia at present, I have the chance to talk with many Aussies about what they like about the Australian picture of who and what we are. Today for instance, a lady who's family was one of the very first to arrive in Australia from London in 1788, expressed her wish for a continuation of history-telling, photo sharing and a making sure Australians never are going to lose their unique accent and *G'day Mate* mentality. I could not agree with her more, because I also feel every time I am back in Australia, such a wonderful spirit of optimism, smile and *lets share with the world how we do things*, that after speaking with my Australian Festivals partner and friend, Peter Beare, I decided to once again concentrate on not only sharing lots of Aussie news and information with you all, but also to get another Australian Festival on the road for coming year. We are very excited about that prospect and shall keep you informed how things are developing. If you are interested in the Australian Festivals history of the last 13 years, please search our files, read what we have done, look at the photo albums and share in the enthusiasm all our friends and guests feel for our unique Australian Festival USA. We have so much to show you! If you have any questions, suggestions or additions, please feel free to email us. You can find the details at *contact*. A happy day I wish you and speak to you soon! |

Another trip back DownUnder to visit the land we all love so much, Australia:).. many new things are happening, for instance Australia is becoming more bicycle friendly, new Government sponsored programs have been launched, to help facilitate a smooth start to creating more sustainable companies and raise awareness amongst the Aussies. Beautiful new cafees have opened where organic food is being served, many shops do not allow plastic bags anymore to be used but give out canvas bags, plastic waterbottles are being discontinued or discouraged, and bicycling is being promoted. A new vibrance we can feel, as if Australia indeed is setting the standards for a new Age.... and therefore our Australian Festival USA is getting ready to make sure you shall be able to follow all that is happening, find the best Aussie deals, learn about Australian culture, music, art and the magnificent history we are so proud to tell you about.. Next week on the way to Queensland and another update from yours truly:) have a fabulous day! |

The 24 hours it took from Sydney -Auckland - LA - Miami, was long, but flying with Air New Zealand as always was wonderful, the seats great and the staff lovely. Being at Auckland airport was nice too but I must say: the coffee in Australia wins hands over heels. No one makes better coffee than the Aussies! |
