Walk
Pembroke Pines and Say G'Day Sydney!
Monday October 1, 2007
Alan
Waddell, 93, has walked every street in 250 suburbs of Sydney, Australia
and along the way he has taken 826 unusual photos that all come with a
great caption of his experience...
Walk Pembroke Pines is the introduction of
the "Walk
Sydney Streets" concept founded by Alan Waddell in Sydney. Alan's
concept of walking around Sydney neighborhoods and taking pictures along
the way has created a model that focuses on good health, community &
civic spirit - while walking versus driving is great for the
environment.
Supporting the first ever Walk Pembroke
Pines is the City of Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank Ortis.
"As Mayor of the City of Pembroke
Pines it is a pleasure to extend a most cordial welcome to the Australian
Festival that will be held here in our beautiful city on Sunday, November
4, 2007. It is our pleasure to partner with the Australian Festival and
Walk Sydney’s Street to have our own Walk Pembroke Pines, a first here
in the United States." states Mayor Ortis.
